Christmas Is Coming

Christmas is coming
A birth
A rude awakening
In the unseen

A cry out in the night
A child weeping
For the discomfort of life
For hunger.

For death, for pain.
For life,
Fully remembered,
Fully known.

But not recovered
Yet.
Beauty unfurled
In the darkness

Finds a home
In the heart of mankind
And lays dormant
Until it’s time

Remembered
Refound
Rekindled in the heart of man.

Lay me waste no more
But life me breath
Breath of life.

Breath, breathe deeply
Remember,
Find the garden,
Hear it’s cry

And follow,
Hungry.
