Juanita's New Pet, Kiwi

This is my birthday present. He is a 10 month old sugar glider. Sugar gliders are marsupials. If he looks little, he is. He is about 11 inches from nose to tail, most of that is tail which is curled over the top of his head in the picture. He has fingers and thumbs and his hands remind me of a bat. Look just below and to the right of his hand and you can see the skin which stretches out to help him glide. Sugar gliders can glide up to 150 feet. We’re getting to know each other a bit at a time. I am working on getting him to bond to me then I plan to pocket train him.
