sad news.....

The baby gerbils died. Talitha is doing o.k. with it. We are sad, but from the reading she's done on this, she knew there was risk of several different things that can go wrong, especially with a first litter. She never completely put herself into it as she was waiting to make sure. We are still learning a lot and know what we will do different next time if she decides to try again.
