TREE TIME

One of the fun things we do each year at this time is go get a Christmas tree. This year it was pretty warm and not much snow so it was a piece of cake. It was fun having Seth and Crystal with us. As you can see the tree is in its new home but we haven't had time to finish decorating it yet. The lights are up but the ornaments are still in storage. Maybe Thursday night we will have time. Wish you were here!

Bet it was just plain great to have Crystal there this year, period!
I just got the lights up on our tree tonight. Of course, I don't have the opportunity to go out and get a real tree, well, from a forest, anyway. We are waiting for Sarah to get home from Israel to decorate our tree. It's tradition that we do it together and each kid gets a new ornament. We have hot chocolate homemade by Ralph and stir it with candy canes. We have two books that we traditionally choose from to read while we drink our hot chocolate. One is the book about the first Christmas and the other is a book about a wood carver. The kids really look forward to this each year. I do not look forward to the coming years when the kids will be leaving home...
