Grace's first egg

Talitha wanted me to post a picture of Grace's first egg. This is Talitha's chicken and the first one to lay an egg from the original chicks that we got in Febuary. We are grateful that she started laying before we go to Michigan on the 13th so that Talitha could gather the first one. Also, sometimes Plymoth Rocks can lay pink eggs, so Talitha was waiting and hoping that Grace would lay pink eggs. So, it turns out that her eggs are pink. You can't tell in the picture, but they are a very pretty color. It's a kind of light pinkish brown. The egg in the picture is also very small, but it is her first and they should get bigger.
